The “papple”. Described as a cross between an apple and a pear, it is actually a cross between different pear varieties. But it is just one of an array of oddly shaped, strangely flavoured and strikingly colourful fruits grown around the world.
Papple indeed. Are they talking about a Nashi? Only the English would consider that exotic.
See, I’d never heard of a Nashi, and I think this papple is something different.
