My post about scientific poster design made it to the Uni’s Science News page.
I’m mentioned in the local newspaper in Xalapa!
“Una noche que reunió tanto a gente de la Ciudad de las Flores y de otros lugares, como Lourdes Vizcaíno y Margarita Gutiérrez que nos visitaron desde San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, o Dinesh Rao, de la India, acompañado por Diana Pérez; Rogelio Macías y Yaneri Perroni, que entre copas de vino tinto y una deliciosa y muy colorida pizza disfrutaron de la música de esta agrupación mexicana.”
My scientific publications list.

The Fountain “No matter how good CGI looks at first, it dates quickly…So I set the ridiculous goal of making a film that would reinvent space without using CGI.” Director Aronofsky tapped into the microphotography work of Parks and Parks to bring a new look to special effects in science fiction cinema.

I was wondering where you got this quote from as it would be nice to use for my cinema essay.

Thank you!
I have a student studying the Kauai Wolf Spider. He and a I are having trouble finding the life span of the spider. We are thinking 2 years since that is the general life span of a wolf spider. Are we correct?
Thanks.
Should be right, but I would think it depends on the species as well.
Dear Dinesh Rao,
I would like to share some information on a campaign, currently underway to connect citizens of Indian Origin across the world. The campaign aims to bring together the Indian brethren to feel one with their Alma Mater and share powerful ideas and opinions on issues that matter to them.
I invite you to participate in this campaign – Sign-up and surely, getting started will take less than a few minutes – http://www.nrimatters.com/nripowerpodium
Since you are an active blogger, I would like to extend to you the opportunity to flaunt our badge as a “Power Blogger” for NRI Power Podium, and list your blog, amongst those that are handpicked and worth sharing with the community at large. This will give your blog additional visibility over what it already enjoys, and also let our community consume excellent content that is being generated across the world, but hard to discover.
Do let us know when you have applied and blogged about our campaign so that we can seal the deal as promised above.
If you would like to share some information about the campaign on your blog, you can use some of the information below.
Summary:
NRIMatters.com, a leading online destination that provides pertinent answers to relevant issues in areas of investment, real-estate, finance, legal etc. announced the launch of a social campaign “NRI Power Podium” on the 6th of November, 2010. The campaign will recognize three NRI’s who are most vocal and passionate about expressing their ideas and opinions, to help address issues in India that matter most to them.
The three winners will fly down to India, all expenses paid, to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), 2011, a high-powered delegation of persons of Indian origin who are lauded by the Government of India. More information on what transpired at the PBD 2010 conference, can be found here.
